Jeffrey Carter, 44 of Baisden, departed this life on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at CAMCa€"Memorial Division at Charleston, WV.
Born on December 30, 1964 at Man, he was the son of the late Edward and Betty Blankenship Carter.
In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Rozella Carter, Genevieve Hatfield, Anna Mae Whited, and Susie Johnson.
Jeffrey was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed hunting and 4-wheeling. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a disabled coal miner, a member of the UMWA, and of the Church of God faith.
Those left to love and cherish his memory are: his loving wife of 23 years, Melissa Justice Carter of Baisden, his beloved daughter, Farrah (Billy) Hunt of Delbarton; his precious granddaughter, Hayden Brooke Hunt (whom he loved and adored) of Delbarton; his brothers: Randy (Marilyn) Carter of Virginia, Ted (Hallie) Carter of Baisden, Ricky Carter of Baisden, Gordon (Fern) Carter of Hampden, Ricky (Janet) Blankenship of Baisden, Denny Carter of Ohio, and Steve Carter of Whitman; his sisters: Mary Ann Carter and Betty Messer; and a host of other dear family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Friday, November 27th from 6 to 9 pm with a service at 7:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 28th at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jonas Trent and the Rev. Arville Cline officiating.
Burial will follow in the Glandon Cemetery at Baisden.
He will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends.
