Stevie Walls

Stevie Walls, 56 of Baisden, departed this life on Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston.

Born on August 4, 1954 at Gilbert, he was the son of the late Arvil and Mary Collins Walls.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kaylee.

Stevie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a retired coal miner and of the protestant faith. Stevie loved 4-wheeler riding and spending time with his wonderful family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory and to mourn his passing include his loving wife, Debbie Mounts Walls of Baisden; his three sons: Edwin Walls of Chapmanville, Steven (Charity) Walls of Kopperston, and Dalton Walls of Baisden; his two daughters: Stephanie (Chris) Jackson of North Spring and Monica (Jerry) Salmons of Monroe County; his four grandchildren: Shayla, Austin, and Amber Jackson of North Spring and Lacey Grace Walls of Kopperston; his sister, Gleada (Timmy) Layne of Baisden; his brother, Larry (Drema) Walls of Logan; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Sunday, April 3rd for 12 noon to 2:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 3rd at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Diamond Carter officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mounts and Collins Cemetery at Baisden.

He will be carried to his final resting place by: Chris and Austin Jackson, Jerry Salmons, Jonathon and Jody Layne, and Michael Cline of Florida.

He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
