Joe Lester

Joe Lester, 86 of Baisden, departed this life on Monday, April 23rd, 2012, at Trinity Nursing Home at Logan.

Born on February 18, 1926, at Baisden, he was the son of the late Dave and Lizzie Cline Lester.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Mollie Cline Lester; seven brothers: Clyde, Mike, Herbert, Hilden, Bill, Shermanand Leck Lester; and two sisters: Esther Davis and Emmel Lester.

Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a disabled coal miner and of the Baptist Faith. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Joe and to mourn his passing include his two daughters: Melissa Lester of Logan and Debbie Taylor of Las Vegas Nevada; his two granddaughters: Cayman Taylor of Las Vegas Nevada and Angela Tangring of Los Angeles California; his two brothers: Jason (Emogene) Lester and Estil (Phyllis) Lester, both of Baisden; his special niece and caregiver, Lesa Compton of Baisden; his special great niece, Alyssa Compton of Baisden; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Wednesday, April 25th from 6 pmt o 9 pm with a special service at 7 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 26th at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clyde Endicott, Rev. Homer Blankenship and Rev. James Cline officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dave and Lizzie Lester Family Cemetery at Baisden.

Joe will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends.

He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
