Dorothy Mounts

Dorothy Mounts, 89 of Baisden, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to join her loved ones waiting on her in heaven, on Sunday, March 2, 2014 from Meadow Brook Assisted Living, Julian, WV.

Born on January 25, 1925 at Baisden, she was the daughter of the late Wilburn and Effie (Cline) Cline.

In addition to her parents Dorothy was also preceded in death by her loving husband: Nelson Mounts, Jr.; daughter: Dimple Kay Cain; son: James Nelson Mounts; sister: Merlie Hatfield.

Dorothy was a loving and caring person who enjoyed going to church and singing. She attended the Justice Tabernacle. She also loved spending time with her family and friends.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Dorothy are her son: Richard (Celia) Mounts of Switzer; grandchildren: James and Ethan Mounts of Baisden, Matthew and Joshua Mounts of Huntington, Christopher Mounts of Foster, Joseph Mounts of Switzer, Eloise Baughman and Charles Cline Jr., of Columbus, Ohio; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; her brother: Berman (Edith) Cline of Baisden. A host of other nieces, nephews and relatives who loved her, and will miss her dearly.

Friends may gather with the family Friday, March 7, 2014 from 12 to 1 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 7, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randall Staton officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilburn Cline Family Cemetery at Baisden.

Pallbearers will be Christopher, James and Joseph Mounts, Roger Cline, Danny Hatfield and Raven Kenneda.
