I am so sorry for the loss of Carey, anyone who knew him can and will say what a wonderful man he was, as for me and dana we will definetly miss him he was not only my friend but he was to me like family he never failed to say hi and hug me and tell dana and i he loved us, his family is in our hearts and prayers...R.I.P. my friend.

I remember Amber's request for prayer for Cary and I did pray. He is completely healed now, without a doubt.. Cary was the same gentle man each time that we would run into him. Daytona Race stands out years ago when we were visisting Arden & Nancy & I first met him. Prayers for Pam and the family. Dear Pam and Family - We are so sorry to hear about Carey's passing. As you know, our family has close ties to Carey, and Dad and Mom loved him very much. Mom is up here in Martinsburg and she has been busy looking for and purchasing a new home here. I'm sure she would have been there if possible at all. She sends her love. I walked into Carey's office when I was 19 yrs.old I introduced my self, and I asked him for a job. He saked me as he chewing his cigar, what can you do I said nothing. He was tittled he asked me is your dad and mom, I told him Charles and Sue Cline of Gilbert Ck. He said sit down I want to tell you a story, he began his story and as he spoke tears came into my eyes. He said Jeff when I was growing up I was a little chubby boy and mom would give us very little money for lunch for the week and when I walked by the Blue Moon Tavern the drunks would hold me down and take my money. So one day your day was there and I was walking up on the hill side across the ditch. He said son come down here Don't walk in the mud or the weeds any more as long as I'm here they will never take your lunch moneny ever again. I want you to walk this road like a man. so I did and I walked proud. I watch Charles Cline fight two men two different times over me and I never have forgot your dad taking care of me so today I'm going to return the favor. I'm going to put you at Kara Coal Corp #2 mine in Pine Creek. I worked there for 4 years and then he moved me to Rocky Ck. and several other mines I was never laid off I was nerver with a payday, The day I got my neck and Back broken, the next morining I was in CAMC in Charleston when I opened my eyes Carey was the only person that was in the room with me he never spoke he stood there with tears in his eyes and he told me that he loved me and I said Love you to Carey....I will miss my friend.

This will be only one of many condolences, I'm sure, but I offer my prayer for the entire family. I did not have the privilege of knowing Carey intimately, but I always held him in high regard and have the greatest of respect for him and his family. I will remember his smile.

I just found out about my dear friend Carey passing. He was the most giving and caring man I ever met. I am in Cheyenne Wyoming visiting my Daughter and grand daughter. Someone messaged me this morning and let me know. My heart just breaks for this family. Such a loss. But heaven got a wonderful person. May God comfort you Pam.

I am so sorry for your loss. Carey has been in my life as far back as I can remember. It just won't seem the same, to say Pam without Carey. It will be so hard to do. I will miss him so much. I'm sorry for your loss... I met Carey in the late 80's working at coal city auto parts.. I delivered a lot parts to his mine and sold him a bunch of race car parts when he first started racing.. Family, Our deepest sympathy and may GOD comfort you and be with you during this time. Became acquainted with Carey in the late '70's when he and Arden Mounts started mining on Gilbert Creek. I've been in the mining equipment sales 46 years and Carey is one of the best folks I have ever met. Will be sorely missed.

TO CAREY'S FAMILY: I have known Carey, ever since I was his granddaughter, Liberty's age... I'm glad to have known him for such a long time, and will be missed...I know exactly what his 2 daughters are going through right now, because I went through the same thing almost 5 years ago...His family's loss is now "Heaven's Gain", and he is at peace, and is no longer suffering, and is in the arms of God, now.... we are so very sorry to get this news. you guys were our neighbors for years. we truly love you both and your girls.carey sponsored my son Ronnie staten on his trip to DCwith the close-up foundation. had it not been for carey my son could not have gone. praying GOD will repay him for all his kindness and deeds he did for people in gilbert and neverlet others know.
