Alta Jones, 87, of Isaban, went home to be with the Lord, on Sunday, March 29th, 2009, from St. Mary's Medical Center at Huntington.

Born on January 15th 1922, at Isaban, she was the daughter of the late Jess and Hattie B. (Surber) Cline.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her husband, Earl Jones; three sisters: Pauline Allnutt, Lillian Galyean, and Jessie Lockhart; and one brother, Charlie Cline.

Alta was a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a homemaker and of the Old Regular Baptist Faith.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Alta are: her sister, Eunice Jarrett of Hollywood, Maryland; a very special nephew, Kendall (Chrissey) Cline of Isaban; a very special great nephew, Dustin Cline of Isaban; a very special great niece, Paige Cline of Isaban; her sister-in-law, Mary R. Cline of Isaban; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends called at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Wednesday, April 1st, from 6 to 9 pm.

Funeral services were held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 2nd at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with Elders: Kermit Lester, John R. Justice, and Hobart Hamilton officiating.

Burial followed in the Four Pole Cemetery at Isaban.

Family and friends served as pallbearers.
