Allen rode my school bus and was a terrific kid and always talked to me as I was driving. I love him and he will be greatly missed.

We live in Pittsboro, NC and this morning (9/19) found a couple of deflated helium balloons with an attached piece of paper in our yard. The paper was titled "Missing You Allen Hinkle" and had a hand-written poem that starts with "I sit alone now in the darkness of despair." We did a Google search and found this site. We noticed that Allen Hinkle's birthday was 9/18, so perhaps someone released the balloons yesterday? If so, it's quite a coincidence that they landed in our yard as we are originally from WV.

My heart and prayers go out to Allen's family. I watched Allen grow up from a young teen to a young adult and he always was happy. He loved life to the fullest and his family too. May God be with you all.

Heaven has welcomed home an Angel. Life here will never be the same without him. My heart is broken, but I know that he is safe in the Father's arms.
