On January 5, 2013, Heaven gained another angel when Velma Cline, 68, entered through the Golden Gates and was met by her loving husband of 42 years, Olen Cline.
Born May 24, 1944 at Guyan, she was the daughter of the late Buddy and Marie Toler.
In addition to her parents and her husband she was also preceded in death by one son, Jamie Cline, one son-in-law, Danny Kennedy and four nephews.
She was of the Baptist faith. While on this earth, she enjoyed going to church and spending time surrounded by family and loved ones. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew her but will be rejoicing in Heaven waiting to see them again.
Suvivors include her step-father, James Toler of Rockhouse; her three daughters: Sherry (Rick) Hanshaw and Diana (Mark) Hatfield, both of Coal Mountain and Amanda (Moe) Bartley of Pikeville Kentucky; her son, Ronald (Katrina) Cline of Coal Mountain; her six sisters: Virgie (Lonnie) Harper of Brenton, Tena (James) Christian of Coal Mountain, Elestine (Joe) Ellis of Justice, Loretta (Carl) Harper of Randallman North Carolina, Margie (Roy) Brown of Donalds South Carolina, Phyllis (Sam) Cline of Branchland; her three brothers: Darrell (Anita) Toler and Arnold (Beatrice) Toler both of Emmett (Elk Creek) and James (Linda) Toler of Oceana; her two half-sisters: Charlotte (Zeke) Southard and Helen (Greg) Hatfield, both of Coal Mountain; her two half-brothers: Jessie (Lisa) Toler of Coal Mountain and Randy Toler of Rockhouse; her eight grandchildren: her one great-grandchild and many neices and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family at the Coal Mountain Freewill Baptist Church at Coal Mountain on Tuesday, January 8th after 6 pm with a special service at 7 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, January 9th at the Coal Mountain Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. James Ellis and Rev. Roger Browning officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hatfield Cemetery at Coal Mountain.
Velma will be carried to her final resting place by her grandsons:
She is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Mounts Funeral Home, Inc at P.O. Box 1567, Gilbert WV 25621 to help with funeral expenses.

Visitation: Tuesday, January 8th after 6 pm
Funeral: Wednesday, January 9th at 1 pm
Place: Coal Mountain Freewill Baptist Church at Coal Mountain, WV
