Robert Browning

Robert Dale Browning, 54, of Gilbert, departed this life on March 4, 2016. Born July 21, 1961, he was the son of the late Nola June Highlander. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents, whom reared him, Samuel and Laura Browning; two brothers: Randy Highlander and Gregory Highlander; and three special friends, whom he loved dearly: Sidney Wiley, Adell "Bitt" Simpson and Ralph Simpson. Robert was a loving brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly and deeply missed. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Maegen (Shane) Webb of Virginia; his brother, Jennings "Pete" Highlander of Gilbert; his two sisters: Von Highlander and Gladys Highlander Cline, both of Gilbert; several nieces and nephews: Keasha Highlander (Corey Belcher), Kearstin (James) Ratliff, Miranda Highlander, Kyle Cline, Rayvaughn Cline, Blaine Highlander, Wesley Smith, and Joseph Highlander. Robert also leaves behind many cousins along with a host of other dear family members and friends. Friends may gather with the family on Friday, March 18, 2016, from 6-9 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Diamond Carter and Bro. James Muncy officiating. Burial will follow in the Hollywood Cemetery at Gilbert. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
