Nancy E. New, 70 of Baisden, departed this life on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from Pikeville Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born January 20, 1947 she was the daughter of the late John William and Alice Lowe. In addition to her parents Nancy was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Charley, Buster, Donald and David Lowe. She is also preceded in death by a host of in-laws, that felt more like sisters and brothers. Nancy loved to garden and complete word search puzzles. She was a member of the Baisden Community Church, formerly known as Julian Cline's Church, which is where she met the love of her life her husband Delmo New. She loved her family more than anything. Every morning and night she would call her children to check on them and to tell them that she loved them. Those left to love and cherish the memory of Nancy and to mourn her passing include her loving husband of more than 50 years: Delmo New of Baisden; 2 daughters: Angel (Rick) Gibson of Baisden, Alice (Freelan) Blankenship of Baisden; son: Eddie (Della) New of Baisden; 6 grandkids: Anthony Gibson, CD Thomas, Haley New, Jayden New, Joy New, and Brett New all of Baisden; brother: Robert Lowe; many nieces and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends. Friends may gather with the family on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 6-9 pm at The Baisden Community Church (Julian Cline's old church). Funeral services will commence on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 12:00 pm with the Preacher Dale Bailey and Brother Mike Ashby officiating. Burial will follow at the Rayburn New Cemetery at Baisden. Nancy will be carried to her final resting place by Anthony Gibson, CD Thomas, Rick Gibson, Freelan Blankenship, Jeff Thompson, Little Terry New, Josh New, Jessie Hatfield and James Lester. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby New (late Elaine New), Earl Blackburn, Clark Blackburn, Phillip Robinson and Terry New. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
