Melissa Davis

Melissa Davis, 49, of St. Albans, passed away January 8, 2016, at her residence.

Born May 11, 1966, at Welch, she was the daughter of Joyce Browning and the late Cleatus Davis. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arlie and Belva Davis.

Missy was a great friend to all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her mother and step-father, Joyce and Barry Browning of Wharncliffe; her sister, Vanessa Davis Gunnoe of Charleston; and her partner, Nikki Tyler, also of Charleston. Missy also leaves behind a host of other dear family and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 15, 2016, from 6-9 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will commence on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Cresong officiating.

Burial will follow in the Cline Cemetery at North Spring. Pallbearers will be: Andrew Thomas, Jason Justice, Michael Hall, Mikey Hall, Benji Browning, and Barry Browning.

She is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
