Lucille Collins

Lucille Collins, 61 of Lynco, WV departed this life on Sunday, April 5, 2015 from Moses Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro, N.C.

Born on October 21, 1953 at Welch, WV, she was the daughter of the late William Bertie and Ardith (Browning) Lester.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband: James R. Collins Sr; her sisters: Wanda Riggs, Naomi Sue Lester, Imojean Steele, Charlote Lambardi, and her half-sisters: Pauline Hatfield, Alice and Hazel Lester; her brothers: Franklin, Ricky and Robert Lester and her half-brothers: Marshall, Harold and Monroe Lester.

Lucille was a member of the Oceana Freewill Baptist Church. She loved going to church and spending time with her family and friends.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her daughter: Brandy Jadwin of Wellsville, New York, her son: James R. (Jay) Collins Jr. of Oceana; her grandchildren: Anna Rayshelle and Jaylynn Riley Collins, both of Cyclone; her sisters: Donna Thompson and Lynn Justice; her brothers: Dale, Curtis “Sammy”, Roger and Willis Lester, her half-brother Jimmy Lester. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Friday, April 10, 2015, from 6 to 9 pm, at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert, with special service at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert with the Rev. Jackie Grimmett officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lester Family Cemetery at Joe Point, Hanover, WV.

Lucille will be carried to her final resting place by pallbearers: Bradley Jadwin Jr., Adam Barnett, David Thompson, Mark Lester, Terry Mullins, Sam Steele, David Thompson Jr., and Brandon Thompson. She may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
