Irene Endicott 86 of Justice, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her loved ones waiting for her in heaven, on Saturday, December 19th, 2009, from her son's residence.
Born at Cucumber on January 20, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Henry Melvin and Minnie Wilson Fletcher.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clinton "Chicken" Endicott and her son, Conrad C. "Connie" Endicott.
Irene was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved fishing, quilting, knitting, needle point, sewing, painting, cooking, being with her children, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren, and her church family. She opened her home and heart to everyone. She always made you feel welcomed and right at home. She was a retired school teacher with the Wyoming County Board of Education and a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church at Justice. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to love and cherish her memory are: her son, Melvin "Butch" (Kathy) Endicott of Hanover; her two daughters: Teresa (Dottie Joe) Justice of Justice and Brenda (Sam) Driggers of Astor Florida; her three wonderful grandsons: Shaye (Brandy) Justice of Justice, Jody (Dawn) Shannon of Gilbert, and Trampas (Paula) Shannon of Hanover; her three wonderful granddaughters: Johnna (Anthony) Cline of Gilbert, Tammi (Mark) Frederick of Charleston, and Scarlett (Jake) Tolley of Justice; her four precious great grandsons: Caleb Cline, Tanner Shannon, Logan Shannon, and Hunter Blankenship; her four precious great granddaughters: Autumn Cline, Liberty Justice, Alyssa Blankenship, and Paisley Shannon; her brother, Jimmie B. Fletcher of Justice; and a host of other dear family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family at the First Missionary Baptist Church at Justice on Saturday, December 26th from 6 to 9 pm. A service will be held at 7:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Sunday, December 27th at the First Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Nagy, Rev. Jackie Lester, and Brother Timer May officiating.
Burial will follow in the Wilson Family Cemetery at Justice.
She will be carried to her final resting place by family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the church.
