Idell Stanley

Idell Stanley, 77 of Wharncliffe, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to join her loved ones waiting for her in Heaven, on tuesday, March 29, 2011, from Williamson ARH in South Williamson KY.

Born on March 29, 1934, at Wharncliffe, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Callie Ellis Browning.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Everett Stanley; two daughters: Bonnie Lou Mullins and Paulett Gibson; one grandson, Charles Mounts, Jr.; three brothers: Roy, Arnold, and Carl "Bo" Browning; and one sister, Ada Browning.

Idell was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a homemaker and a member of the Free Pentecostal Church of God at Wharncliffe. She loved spending time with her wonderful family, her church family, and her friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her passing include her two daughters: Nina (Charles) Mounts of Varney and Karen Gay (Herbert) Mitchem of Wharncliffe; her son, Lonnie Patrick of Wharncliffe; her thirteen grandchildren; her nine great-grandchildren; her brother, Roger (Ima) Browning of Tennessee; her four sisters: Mary Lou (James) Smith, Saddie Hatfield, and Roseann Hinkle all of Wharncliffe, and Adell "Bit" (Ralph) Simpson of Gilbert; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family at the Free Pentecostal Church of God at Wharncliffe on Thursday, March 31st from 6 pm to 10 pm with a special service at 7 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 1st at the Free Pentecostal Church of God with the Rev. Denny May, Rev. Danny Ward, and Rev. Roy Lee Lester officiating.

Burial will follow in the Beech Fork Cemetery at Wharncliffe.

She will be carried to her final resting place by family and friends.

She is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
