Helen Lester

Helen Lester, 82 of Baisden departed this life on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from Good Sheppard Nursing Home at Phelps, KY.

Born December 12, 1932 at Baisden, Helen was the daughter of the late John A. & Ernie P. Cline.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Eule H. Lester; one brother: Darrell Cline; one sister: Phyllis Hatfield. Helen was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was of the Baptist Faith. She very much enjoyed cooking and housekeeping.

Those left to love and cherish the memory and to mourn her passing include her 5 children: Debbie (Ronnie) Mounts of Baisden, Don (Brenda) Lester of Sissonville, Robert “Kimbo” Lester of Baisden, Timmy (Sherri) Lester of Hanover and Cindy (Bobby) Endicott of Baisden; 4 grandsons: Brian Mounts of Baisden, Derrick Endicott of Cross Lanes, Tyler Lester and Trey Lester both of Baisden; 2 granddaughters: Rachel Horn and Joyce Saltsman; great grandchildren: Eric Dotson, Briana Brooke Mounts, Rebekah Horn, Berkly and Brett Saltsman; 2 sisters: Karen (Eddie) Grimmett of Gilbert and Pandora (Randall) Lester of Baisden; a host of nieces and nephews and other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 6-9 pm at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 1:00pm at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Nagy, Bishop Anthony Hudgins and Rev. Russell King officiating. Burial will follow in the Oscar Mounts Cemetery at Baisden. Helen will be carried to her final resting place by Brian Mounts, Derrick Endicott, Trey Lester, Tyler Lester, Jarod Lester and Ted Carter.

Honorary pallbearers are: Howard Lee, Eddie Grimmett, Ronnie Mounts, Ted Carter, Bobby Endicott, Kim Ellis, Randall Lester, Timmy Gravely, Glen Gravely, Ricky Blankenship and Randall Lester.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the nurses and care takers at the Good Sheppard Nursing Home.

Helen’s wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who knew and were fortunate to have known her.
