Ervin Coleman

On Saturday, June 11th, 2011, Ervin Coleman, 68 of Jasper Alabama, formerly of Panther, heard his heavenly Father calling him to his heavenly home. He answered the call and departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and his many loved ones wating for him in heaven, from Mohawk.

Born March 4, 1943 at Iaeger, he was the son of the late Elige and Stella Mae Cline Coleman.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Margie Lee.

Ervin was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was an auto mechanic who enjoyed working and doing a multitude of other tasks. He was a born again Christian of the Freewill Baptist Faith, and enjoyed spending time with his wonderful family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of him and to mourn his passing include his seven children: Freda (Jimmy) Regan of Johnsbough TN, Ervin Lee (Bonnie) Coleman, Rodney Coleman, and Kelisha Crump, all of Jasper AL,Beatrice (Adonis) Easton of Millersville, MD, Donetta Chaney of North Carolina, and Earl Justice of Kentucky; his five sisters: Josephine Coleman of Mohawk, Kathlene May and Gerldine Estep both of Hillsville, VA, Lexie Bailey of Panther, and Juanita Jordan of Mineral VA; his four brothers: Jr. Riley Blankenship, Willie Coleman, and George Coleman, all of Mohawk, and Douglas Coleman of Banner KY; his fifteen grandchildren; his one great-grandchild; a special caregiver, Mary Kimbrell; a special cousin, Harvey Coleman; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family at the Mohawk Freewill Baptist Church at Mohawk on Sunday, June 12th after 6 pm with a special service at 7 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 13th at the Mohawk Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Hassell Rife, Rev. Michael Casey, and Rev. Sam Dowdy officiating.

Burial will follow in the Coleman Family Cemetery at Isom Branch of Bull Creek, Mohawk, WV.

Ervin will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends.

He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
