Delbert Justice, 82, of Gilbert, went home to be with the Lord and to be reunited with his loving wife, Barbara, on Friday, June 30, 2017, leaving from the Dignity Hospice House in Chapmanville. Born November 8, 1934, at Wharncliffe, he was the son of the late Halsey and Essie Ferrell Justice. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara Aker Justice; two sisters: Georgia Ferguson and Betty Justice; and one brother, Donald Eugene Justice. Delbert enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. He was a very family-oriented man, and he loved his family very much. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and dear friend. Delbert served in the United States Army. He also attended the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer. Delbert touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply and dearly missed. Those left to love and cherish the memory of Delbert are two daughters: Debbie (Brad) Butcher and Pam Ramey, all of Gilbert; four grandchildren: Nathan Butcher of Gilbert, Danielle (Josh) Carter of Cameron, NC., Ayla Ramey and A.J. Ramey, both of Gilbert; one sister, Janice (Max) Woods of Roanoke, VA; one brother, Phillip Justice of Wharncliffe; two sisters-in-law: Judy (Roger) Hatfield of Wharncliffe and Nile Aker of Panama City, FL; special niece and nephew: Stacy Hatfield and John Hatfield both of Gilbert; two very special friends, who visited and called often: Rev. Diamond Carter and Rev. Denny May both of Browning Fork. Delbert also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, along with a host of other dear relatives and friends. Friends may gather with the family on Sunday, July 2, 2017, from 6-9 pm at the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer at Hampden. Funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm at the church on Monday, July 3, 2017, with Rev. Diamond Carter, Rev, Denny May, and Rev. Carl "Cab" Wolford officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby. Pallbearers will be: John Hatfield, Josh Carter, Jerome Trent, Patrick Cline, Ashton Cline, Bill Pruitt, Clarence Pruitt, A.J. Ramey, Brad Butcher, and Nathan Butcher. Delbert's wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation: Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 6-9 pm
Funeral: Monday, July 3, 2017, at 1:00 pm
Place: Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer, Hampden, WV.
