Charlene Harvey

Charlene Harvey, 62, of Bruno, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 4, 2015, from Williamson Memorial Hospital.

Born April 2, 1953, at Welch, she was the daughter of the late Jay and Kathleen Huff Fields.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Harvey; and one son, Norris Harvey.

Charlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a member of the Ben Creek Free Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved going to church and spending time with her family, especially her precious grandchildren. Charlene will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known and loved her.

Those left to love and cherish the memories of Charlene include her loving husband: Arnold Harvey, Sr., two daughters: Melissa Harvey of Logan and Loretta (Robert) Hendricks of Davin; two sons: Arnold “Buddy” (Kathy) Harvey, Jr., of Logan, and Adam Harvey of Bruno; fourteen grandchildren: Sashia, Tenishia, Keishia, Robin, William, Kayla, Jackie, Kellie, Tasha, Norris, Ben, Walter, Felicia, and Izaiyah; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters: Charlotte (Danny) Ball and Shirley (Jerry) Grimmett and one brother: Randolph (Mary) Fields, all of Gilbert. Charlene also leaves behind her beloved church family along with a host of many other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 and Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the Sandlick Freewill Baptist Church after 6 pm.

Funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at the church with Rev. Denny May officiating.

Burial will follow in the Christian Cemetery at Browning Fork section of Gilbert. Pallbearers will be: Arnold “Buddy” Harvey, Jr., Adam Harvey, C.C. Morgan, Robert Hendricks, Jason Ball, and J.J. Fields.

She is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
