Annie Wolford

Annie Wolford, 92 of Pigeon Creek, WV ascended in to Heaven to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from her residence. Born September 1, 1923, at Ben Creek, Annie was the daughter of the late Charlie & Goldie Ellis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three children: Emma Jean Cline, Charles Wolford & Jimmie Wolford; three sisters: Mary Belle Only, Virginia Cantrell & Juanita Bragg; two brothers: Frank Ellis & Henry Ellis; several grandchildren. Annie was a loving wife, mother, Maw, sister, aunt and friend. She was a member of The Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer. She enjoyed going to Flea Markets, yard sales and watching wrestling and Ric Flair. Annie was a custodian for Mingo County Board of Education for many years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Those left to love and cherish the memory of Annie and to mourn her passing include her loving husband of 72 years Drewey Wolford of Pigeon Creek, 5 children: Junior (Sarah) Wolford of Hanover, Carl "Cab" (Bonita) Wolford of Horespen, William (Carolyn) Wolford of Horsepen, Brenda Wolford of Pigeon Creek and Jammy Wolford of Pigeon Creek; sister: Opal (Charles) Hill of Varney; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of other dear family and friends. Friends may gather with the family on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 6-9pm at The Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer at Hampden. Funeral services will commence on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Church with the Rev. Denny May and Rev. Ravin Fields Jr officiating. Burial will follow at Hatfield Cemetery, Sharon Heights. Annie will be carried to her final resting place by Cole Ward, Samuel Wolford, Dustin Blankenship, Charles Wolford Jr, Joey Wolford and Devan Ellis. She is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
