Tammy Marlene (Hatfield) Riffe

Tammy Marlene (Hatfield) Riffe, 58 of Steeles Hollow Rd. Hanover, WV departed this life Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV.

Born July 16, 1965 in Logan County, she was the daughter of the late Betty (Hatfield) and Wallie Hatfield, Jr.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister: Patricia Pauline (Hatfield) Kennedy; brothers: Gary Lee “Bub” Hatfield, Douglas Wallie Hatfield, Jr., Larry Hatfield; her fur baby: “Buttercup”.

Tammy enjoyed the outdoors.  She loved animals, raising a garden; giving most of the things she grew to others to enjoy, Tammy also loved to cook, especially for family get-togethers.  She loved everyone and would do anything she could to be of help to others.  Tammy was of the Baptist Faith.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her husband of 23 years: Clayton Riffe, of the home; brothers: Donald “Bimbo” Hatfield, and Homer Glen (Jan Lester) Hatfield of Browning Fork; mother-in-law: Lakie Riffe of Steeles Hollow; uncle: Arnold Hatfield of Browning Fork; best friends: Gail Corn of Gilbert and Trish Bragg of Pigeon Creek; her fur baby “Snickers”.  Tammy also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 1:00 till 2:00 pm in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jonas Trent, Rev. Garfield Hatfield and Bro. Learmon Mounts officiating.

Her wonderful smile, kind and caring heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.

To honor her wishes, Tammy will be cremated following services.  She will be buried with her family at Carter Cemetery, Browning Fork section of Gilbert, WV at a later date.
