In Loving Memory of Kelsie Sue Browning, 90, of Baisden WV who departed this life on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 2 PM at Boone Memorial Hospital to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born September 2, 1933 at Baisden, WV, and was the daughter of the late Leander and Martha Cline.
She was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 61 years Leo M. Browning and her precious son Cebert Grant Browning. In addition, she was also proceeded in death by her grandparents, Warren and Nellie Cline and Byrd and Susie Lockhart. Her brothers: French Cline Mason Cline. Cebert Cline and Aldridge Cline. Her sisters: Myrtle Trent, Verna Trent, and Elsie Cline.
Kelsie was a member of The First Missionary Baptist Church of Gilbert for 51 years where she served as a Sunday school teacher, treasurer, and secretary. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her church family, and listening to gospel music.
Those left to love and cherish her memory, and to mourn her passing, include her loving and precious daughters Debbie (David) Riggs and Christina (Mike) Hawks all of Baisden. Her grandchildren, Jamie (Jeremy) Brumfield, Wesley Riggs, Leslee (Kerry) Mounts and Micah Hawks. Her great grandchildren, Jadyn Carter, Kelsey Paige Carter, Preston Riggs, Jordan Brumfield, and Magnolia (Maggie) Mounts and Jacob Brumfield. Special nieces Diana Browning and Freda Segar. Special caregiver Nadean Davis also many nieces, nephews, and a host of other dear family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Gilbert from 6:00 to 9:00 pm with a special service at 7:00 pm with Reverend Ronnie Lester officiating. Graveside services will commence on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Highland Memory Gardens at Chapmanville, West Virginia at 1:00 pm.
Kelsie will be carried to her final resting place by Micah Hawks, Wesley Riggs, Jeremy Brumfield, Jacob Brumfield, Mark Lester, Kerry Mounts and Preston Riggs. Honorary pallbearers will be David Riggs, Mike Hawks, Reuben Mitchell, Raymond Lester, Sammy Lester, and Harold Noe.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the second-floor nurses and medical providers of Boone Memorial Hospital while she was an inpatient hospice patient.
Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
