Joda Layne Obituary

Joda James Layne, 67 of Baisden, WV departed this life Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

Born December 1, 1956 at Welch, WV he was the son of the late Sanford and Juanita (Cline) Layne.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister: Regina Queen; brother Quincy Layne; nephews: Josh and Brian Layne.

Joda enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time at home with his beloved dog “Bandit”.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his brothers: Timmy (Gleda) Layne of Baisden, WV, Danny (Georgia) Layne and Dwight (Dimple) Layne, all of Spice Creek, Verner, WV; sister: Deloris Littles of Hurley, VA. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.

In honoring his wishes, Joda will be cremated, and the family will hold a small graveside memorial before placing his remains in the Layne Family Cemetery at Baisden, WV.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
