Thomas "Jeff" Jeffery Lawson

Thomas “Jeff” Jeffery Lawson, 54 of Iaeger, WV, departed this life Saturday, February 21, 2026. 
 
Born February 1, 1972, in Welch, West Virginia, he was the son of Judith “Jackie” and the late Charles Lawson. In addition to his father, he is also preceded in death by his ‘Little Granny’, Pauline Cline. 
 
Jeff was known for being selfless and humble, always putting others before himself. He was an all-around good man who never met a stranger. Jeff loved the beach and spending time in St. Augustine, Florida, his home away from home. Jeff treasured time with his family and friends above all else. He was a steady presence, and someone others could rely on for comfort, strength, and encouragement. His laughter, kindness, and genuine love for people left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.  
 
Those left to love and cherish his memory are his Wife: Abagail Jolene Lawson; Son: Colt “45” Jeffery Lawson; Daughter: Hailey (fiancé Keyshawn) Lawson; Mother: Judith “Jackie” Lawson; Brother: Charles Lawson Jr.; Nephew: Bryce (Haley) Lawson; Niece: Kristin Lawson; Great-Nephew: Beau Wade Lawson; brother in law: Jordan Adkins; sister in law: Emma McCart; mother and father in law: Jason and Amy Carpenter; and two great mothers-in-law: Debbie “Mamaw Deb” Carpenter and Christine “Mimi” Bryant. 
 
Friends may gather with the family on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home, Gilbert, WV where funeral services will commence on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at the Cline Cemetery, Panther, WV. 
 
He will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends.  

He may be gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
