Vicky Marsingill

Vicky (Layne) Marsingill 59, of Tamcliff, WV finally met Jesus face to face and walked the streets of gold with a new body and a new set of lungs, on Easter Evening March 27, 2016. She passed after suffering from a long illness for over 8 years. Vicky was born on January 10, 1957 at Man, WV to the late Arlin and Lola (Browning) Layne. She was also preceded in death by one brother: Ronald Layne; one sister: Nancy Layne; granddaughter: Morgan; and her fur baby dog (Baby) who she had for 17 years. Vicky was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of the Tamcliff House of Prayer. She was a bread baker at Gilbert Foodland for 6 years, she loved all the people she worked with and enjoyed her job so much. She was a youth leader for many years. That was her calling in life was to be a youth leader. She loved being with the children, she loved them all dearly. She enjoyed many things but especially coloring, watching T.V. and quiet family time. Vicky loved the song The Anchor Holds, because even though her ship had been battered for many, many years her anchor still held. She was married to her caretaker, companion, her wonderful husband Gerald Marsingill for 39 years; 3 daughters: LaDawn (Neal) Browning of Coal Mountain, Jenny (Michael) Caldwell of Gilbert & Lyneta (Alex) Hill of Georgia; 6 grandsons: Marcus Browning of Slabtown, Victor Browning of New Mexico, Jordan Lawhun of Coal Mountain, Nathan Matney of North Carolina, Iasiah Hill and Eugene Hill of Georgia; one granddaughter: Sara Chandler of Panther; and a host of other dear family and friends. Vicky was loved by all who knew her. She was a rare jewel and will be greatly missed. As to honor her wishes she will be cremated immediately. There will be a Celebration of her life on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 5:00pm at the Tamcliff House of Prayer. Her ashes will be spread at Myrtle Beach.
