Unona Jessie

Unona Jessie 50, of Matewan, departed this life Saturday, January 4, 2014 from her residence.

Born August 17, 1963 at Wilmington, Delaware, she was the daughter of John Henry Hensley and the late Virginia (Gilman) Hensley.

In addition to her mother she was also preceded in death by her sister: Jesse Hensley; son-in-law: Allen Hinkle.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Unona are her daughters: Monica (James) Hite of Varney, Sally Hinkle of Ben Creek and Melissa (Jerry “Budro”) Bragg of Wayne County; her son: Edward Jessie of Oceana; her brothers: John and Gene Hensley; her sisters: Ethel Ann, Virginia Ellen, Cynthia, Martha “Lindy” and Henrietta Hensley; grandchildren: Brittany and Issac Hinkle, Cayleigh Bragg and Aubrey Jessie. A host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 6 to 9 pm at The Church of God, Sara Ann.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 10, 2014 at 1:00 pm at The Church of God at Sara Ann with the Rev. Gary Starr and Rev. Dave Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilman Family Cemetery at Elk Creek. She will be carried to her final resting place be family and friends.
