Tracy Browning, 92 of Verner, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to join his loved ones waiting for him in heaven, on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Trussville, Alabama.
Born on May 21, 1919, at Verner, he was the son of the late Troy and Chole Browning.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Rose Canterbury Browning and one son, Tracy Guy Browning, Jr.
Tracy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a retired coal miner and owner of the Browning TV Cable Company of Verner. He was a US Army Veteran and a member of the Verner Community Church. He enjoyed playing his guitar, landscaping and antique cars. He loved spending time with his wonderful family, his beloved church family, and his friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Tracy and to mourn his passing include his daughter, Ruth Ann Smith of Trussville Alabama; his three granddaughters: Shannon Smith of Trussville Alabama, Andrea (Tuan) Nguyan of Savannah Georgia, and Lindsey (Clayton) Swint of Birmingham Alabama; his five great-grandchildren; his two brothers: Troy (Lorene) Browning, Jr. and Segal Browning, both of Verner; and a host of nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family at the Verner Community Church on Sunday, November 13th from 12 noon to 1 pm.
Funeral services will commence at 1 pm on Sunday, November 13th at the Verner Community Church with the Rev. Walter Grimmett officiating.
Burial will follow in the Browning Family Cemetery at Verner.
Tracy will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends.
He is gone for our sight but never from our hearts.

Funeral: Sunday, November 13th at 1:00 pm
