Tolbert Hardin, 94 of Baisden, formerly of Beech Creek, departed this life on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at Logan Center.

Born at Grundy VA, on August 5, 1914, he was the son of the late Lewis and Emily Hardin.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Hazel Mahon Hardin; one daughter, Patsy Hardin Cisco; his six brothers; and his sister.

Tolbert was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Church of Christ. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are: his two beloved daughters: Dimple Lockard of Beech Creek and Betty (Charles) Lester of Baisden; his five precious grandchildren: Alice (Shawn) Ray, Ruth (Jimmy) Blankenship, Sara Cisco, Kayla (Dwayne) Christian, and Crystal Lester; his four wonderful great grandchildren: Brooke Sparks, Gracie Sparks, Brooke Cisco, and Jasmine Christian; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends called at the Church of Christ at Wharncliffe on Sunday, July 5th from 6 to 9 pm with a service at 7:00 pm.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 6th at the Church of Christ with evangelist Lewis Smith officiating.

Burial followed in the Kennedy Cemetery at Beech Creek.

Family and friends served as pallbearers.
