Samuel Cox III, 49 of Justice, departed this life Sunday, August 13, 2017 from Logan Regional Medical Center. Born February 21, 1968, he was the son of the late Samuel Cox II and Susie Wilson LaFevers. Sam loved to fish and hunt, he enjoyed working out with weights at the gym. He loved going to church and talking with others about the Bible. He was a member of The New Destiny Church. Those left to love and cherish his memory and to mourn his loss are his brother: Rodney (Linda) LeFevers of Justice; his sisters: Annette (Bill) Hawks, Jr., of Verner, Kathy (Frank) Ruloff of Logan, Karon (Lester) Carlson of Portland, Oregon and Sharon (Arnold) Addair of Danville, Ohio: Nieces: Kristen and Hannah LeFevers of Justice and Nikki Murphy of Portland, Oregon; great nieces:Samantha, MacKenzie and Kellyn Addair; nephews: Joshua LeFevers of Justice, Paul and Kyle Hawks of Huntington and Adam Addair of Danville, Ohio; great nephew: Austin Addair. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends that will miss his smile and his friendly personality. He touched many lives and he left an impression on everyone. Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 6 to 9 pm, at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel where funeral services will commence on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Clifford Rawls officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be: Joshua LeFevers, Kyle and Paul Hawks, Brad Rawls, Dallas Toler, Mark Smith and Charlie Lester. There will be no graveside services, to honor his wishes, his remains will be cremated following the services. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Store House, Gilbert, WV, or to Pastor Clifford Rawls. His wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him.
