Roger Toler 54 of Accoville, departed this life on Friday, May 16, 2008, at Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan.
Born on April 14, 1954 at Man, he was the son of the late William Milton "Bill" and Lula (Hatfield) Toler.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: three brothers: Ballard, Larry Gene, and Jerry Toler; and one sister, Christine "Anne Gene" Vance.
Roger was a disabled coal miner and attended the Crown Greater Vision Church. Roger enjoyed Nascar, sports, spending time with his family and children, fishing, and being outdoors.
Those left to love and cherish Roger are: his wife, Kimberly Toler of Accoville; his three sons: Roger Lee Toler Jr., Brian (Chasty) Toler, both of Spartanburg SC, and Eric (Brandi) Allen of Greenville; his four daughters: Rebecca (Rodney) DeYoung of Spartanburg SC, Lavonna (Brian) West of South Man, Miranda Salmons and Summer Allen, both of Accoville; his ten grandchildren: Steven, Kari, and Amber Perry, Kody DeYoung, "Little" Freda, Ezekiel, Harley and Braxton Toler, and Eric "Toddy" Allen Jr., and one special "expected" grandchild; his special friend, Charlie Browning; two special nephews, whom he loved as his own, Charles Simpkins and Gary Arthur;
his two sisters: Dorothy Kennedy of Amherstdale and Kathy (Buddy) Harvey of Bruno; his four sisters-in-law, Brenda Toler of Bruno, Tammy (Dave) Browning of Lorado, Mary Arthur of Accoville, and Liz (Bo) Arthur of Accoville; and a host of family and friends.
Friends called at the Crown Greater Vision Church at Crown on Monday, May 19th from 6 to 10 pm. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 20th at Crown Greater Vision Church with the Rev. Randy Harvey and the Rev. Larry Mills officiating. Burial followed in the Dye/Lester Cemetery at Verner. Pallbearers were: Brian Toler, Eric Allen, Rodney DeYoung, Steven Perry, Charles Simpkins, and Gary Arthur. Honorary pallbearers were: Dave Browning, John Arthur and Michael Toler.
