Quincy Layne 68, of Baisden departed this life on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born on October 8, 1942 at Isaban, he was the son of the late Sanford and Juanita Cline Layne.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Mose and Amanda Cline, paternal grandparents Floyd and Ida Layne and special friend Donna Sue Lester.
Quincy was a loving husband, brother, uncle and friend. He was a disabled coal miner, a veteran of the US Army and of the Church of God faith. He loved working on his 1981 Ford Bronco, and he loved spending time with his wonderful family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish the memory of Quincy and to mourn his passing include his loving wife Jane Little Layne, his four brothers: Jody Layne, Timmy (Gleta) Layne, Danny Layne all of Baisden, and Dwight (Dimple) Layne of Verner. His two sisters: Delores (Delbert) Little of Hurley VA, and Regina Layne of Indiana. A special great nephew Kevin Dale Vance of Virginia, and special friends Orangie Cline and Valerie Browning of Baisden and Brian Blankenship of Arizona and a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family at the Full Gospel Church of God at Baisden on Tuesday, August 9th after 6 pm with a special service at 7pm.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 10th at the Full Gospel Church of God at Baisden with the Rev. Jonas Trent and Rev. Denny May officiating.
Burial will follow in the Layne Cemetery at Baisden, WV.
Quincy will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers are: Bo Ellis, Richard and Larry Cline, Grant Vance, and Ryan from Pioneer Medical.
He is gone from our sights but never from our hearts.

Visitation: Tuesday, August 9th after 6 pm
Funeral: Wednesday, August 10th at 1 pm
Place: Full Gospel Church of God at Baisden, WV
