Maxine Ruth Walls Maynor, 83 of Spice Creek departed this life on Tuesday, July 5, 2016. Born December 15, 1932, at Leatherwood, WV, she is the daughter of the late Edward and Mattie (Mitchell) Walls In addition to her parents Maxine was also preceded in death by her loving husband Herman "Robert" Maynor; and her son: Marty Herman Maynor. Maxine was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Those left to love and cherish the memory of Maxine and to mourn her passing include her 3 sons: Steve (Ruth) Maynor of Fanrock, Gary Maynor of Parkersburg, Richard (Missy) Maynor of Spice Creek; 3 daughters: Alisha (Joseph) Deskins of Pineville, Angela Chowdhury of Spice Creek, Melissa (James) Blevins of Spice Creek; 4 grandsons: Steven Maynor, Christopher Deskins, Joshua Chowdhury and James A. Blevins; 8 granddaughters: Heather St Claire, Leann Gibson, Trish Maynor, Jennifer Spade, Brandi Thomas, Havilah Adkins, Taylor Blevins, Kayla Blevins; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of other dear family and friends. Friends may gather with the family on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel from 6-9 pm. Funeral services will commence on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Skyline Cemetery at Justice, WV. Maxine will be carried to her final resting place by Steven Maynor, Eddie Lee St. Claire, Darrin Gibson, Jeff Spade, Christopher Deskins, Brian Thomas, Joshua Chowdhury, Ethan Adkins and James Anthony Blevins. Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
