Lucille Adams

Lucille Adams, 88 of Gilbert departed this life Monday, November 18, 2013, peacefully, with her loved ones gathered around her.

Born June 5, 1925 at War, WV she was the daughter of the late Everett and Cosby (Hurley) Lester.

In addition to her parents Lucille was also preceded in death by her husband: Russell Adams Sr.; 2 sons: Scott and Litz Adams; brother: Luther Lester; 2 sisters: Lorraine Lockhart and Winona Vaughan.

Lucille was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Justice, WV. She loved reading, and walking with her best friend Judy, she also loved spending time with her grandkids, she especially loved Nascar.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her daughter: Winona Adams of Wharncliffe, WV; her son: Russell (Eloise) Adams, Jr. of Horsepen, WV; 2 brothers: Jimmy (JoAnn) Lester of Panther, WV and David (Nellie) Lester of Bull Creek, WV; her grandchildren: Russell (Charlotte) Reed Adams III of Forest Hill, KY, April (Jamie) Cantrell of Wharncliffe, WV, Amanda (Bryan) Mattox of Roanoke, VA, McKinley Adams of Chicago, IL, Michelle (Chad) Lester of Baisden, WV and Bridget Blackwater of N.C.; her great-grandchildren: Dillon and Devon Cantrell, Bryan and Madison Lester, Kate Brumfield, Olivia Adams and Cole Mattox. A host of other dear nieces, nephews, family and friends who love her dearly.

Friends may gather with the family Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 11:00 am to 12:00 Noon at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 12:00 Noon with the Rev. Jim Nagy officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at Bluewell, WV. Lucille will be carried to her final resting place by family and friends.
