Linda Ward, 66 of Wharncliffe, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from CAMC Memorial Division, Charleston, WV.
Born March 26, 1948 at Eaton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Phyllis (Kenner) Russell.
Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a member of the Browning Fork House of Faith and loved her family, church family and friends. She loved to read and shop. Linda will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Linda are her husband: Daniel Ward of Wharncliffe; her son: Greggory (Jeretta) Ward of Baisden; her daughter: Serena (Richard) McGuire of Browning Fork; her step sons: Danny (Imogene), Don, Jimmy and Matthew Ward, all of Wharncliffe, and John (Earnestine) Ward of Simon; her brothers: Ricky and Jeff Russell; her grandchildren: Lyndsey and Carrie McGuire, Keelea Ward, Kirk Cline, Morgan Ferguson, and Erica Cline; her great grandchildren: Adalyn Grace and Maddox. Linda also leaves behind a host of other dear family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 6 to 9 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert, with special service at 7 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, March 1st, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert, with the Rev. Diamond Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Ward Family Cemetery at Wharncliffe.
Pallbearers are Richard McGuire, Jerry Ellis Jr., family and friends.
She may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

Services:

Visitation: Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 6 to 9 pm. Special service at 7 pm.
Funeral: Sunday, March 1st, 2015 at 1:00 pm.
Place: Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, Gilbert, WV.
