Leslie Cline, 70, of Baisden, a beloved father and friend, went to sing with the angels on Sunday, June 28th, 2009, from Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan.
Born at Baisden on July 26, 1938, he was the son of the late Ward and Arizonia Cline Cline.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings: Kessler, Odell, Bush, Lacy, Acie, Hassie, Julie, and Lennie; and a nephew, Norman "Kaz" Cline.
Leslie was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He gradated from Concord College (now Concord University) at Athens, with a degree in education. He started his teaching career at War Eagle in a one room school and retired from teaching at Ben Creek Grade School. He was a member of the Rosa Old Regular Baptist Church at Baisden. He enjoyed singing and made several albums of his favorite gospel and country songs.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Leslie are: his beloved daughters: Kelly Yvette Cline of Baisden, Kimberly Janette Bolden of Huntington, and Leslie Karman (Scott) Skeens of Woodstock Georgia; his precious grandchildren: Payton and William Skeens, and Gary Bolden; his wonderful great grandson, Alek Reece Bolden; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear family and friends.
Friends called at the Four Winds Tabernacle at Sandy Bottom section of Gilbert (above Mor for Less) on Tuesday, June 30th from 6 to 9 pm.
A celebration of his life was held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 1st at the Four Winds Tabernacle with Elder Hobart Hamilton officiating.
Burial followed in the Oak Log Cemetery at Baisden.
He was carried to his final resting place by family and friends.
