Irene Lester

Irene Lester, 64 of Kistler, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 10, 2012, from Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born on March 22, 1948, at Panther, she was the daughter of the late Sampy and Pearl Goodman Keene.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cecil Lester; one son, Ritchie Lester; four brothers: Gary, Johnny, Ricky and Greg Keene; and two sisters: Georgia and Jessie Keene.

Irene was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a homemaker and had worked in the furniture industry for Regency House Furniture. She was a member of the Eagle Sanctuary at Man. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Irene and to mourn her passing include her two sons: Timothy (Teresa) Lester of Varney and Mark Lester of Emmett; her five grandchildren: Mashayla, Rebecca and Matthew Lester, Angel Hicks and Kayla Hoosier; her eight sisters: Sue Lester, Elma Patrick, Jacquline Williamson, Pauline Jackson, Minnie Newcomb, Carol Goodman, Rita Rowe and Cassie Copley; her four brothers: Tim, Sampy Jr., Michael and Jeffrey Keene; and a host of friends and loved ones.

Friends may gather with the family at the Christian Freewill Baptist Church at Christian on Tuesday, June 12th from 7 pm to 10 pm.

Funeral services will commence at 7 pm on Tuesday, June 12th at the Christian Freewill Baptist Church with Bishop Anthony Hudgins officiating.

To honor her wishes she will be cremated.

She is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
