Guy Hatfield, of Hampden, departed this life on Saturday, June 13, 2009, from Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born on October 2, 1919 at Gilbert, he was the son of the late Adam and Katherine Hatfield.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Myrtle (Grimmett) Hatfield; his 4 brothers: Roy, Joda, Bailey, and Leonard Hatfield; his 2 sisters: Mary and Ida Hatfield.

Guy was a retired coal miner and of the Baptist Faith.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Guy are his 3 daughters: Virginia Blankenship, Norma Trent, and Shirley Bonham, all of Hampden; his 3 sons: Dallas (Teresa) Hatfield of Baisden, Adam and Guy Hatfield, Jr both of Hampden; his granddaughters; Melissa (Jeff) Simpson of Trinity, NC, and Catherine Hatfield of Gilbert; his grandsons: Woody (Krystal) Trent of South Charleston, and Dallas Hatfield of Gilbert; his great-grandchildren: Joshua and Rebekah Simpson both of Trinity, NC. and a host of other dear family and friends

Friends called at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Tuesday, June 16th, 2009 from 6 to 9 pm, with service at 700 pm.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 17th, 2009 at 1:00 pm, at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Diamond Carter and Rev. Lowell Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Hatfield Cemetery at Sharon Heights, Hampden, WV.

Pallbearers were Dallas Hatfield, and other family and friends
