Everett Stanley, 73 of Wharncliffe, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, May 23, 2009, at Williamson ARH in South Williamson KY.
Born on January 4, 1936, at Wharncliffe, he was the son of the late Bill and Nell Hatfield Stanley.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: one sister, Gay Teller; two brothers: Lafe and Delmar Stanley; and two step-daughters: Paulette Gibson and Bonnie Mullins.
Everett was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grand and great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Ben Creek Free Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Those left to love and cherish his memory are: his loving wife, Idell Browning Stanley of Wharncliffe; his two daughters: Nina (Charles) Mounts of Varney and Karen Gay (Herbert) Mitchem of Wharncliffe; his son, Lonnie Patrick of Wharncliffe; his 16 grandchildren; his 18 great grandchildren; his brother, Pat Stanley; his sister, Nina (Corbin) Dotson; his uncle, Buddy Hatfield; and a host of other dear family and friends.
Friends called at the Ben Creek Free Pentecostal Holiness Church at Wharncliffe on Thursday, May 28th after 6 pm with a service at 7 pm.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 29th at the Ben Creek Free Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Denny May, Rev. Danny Ward, Rev. Roy Lee Lester, and the Rev. David Ferguson officiating.
Burial followed in the Beech Fork Cemetery at Wharncliffe.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.
