Eunice Runyon

Eunice Runyon, 69 of Gilbert, departed this life Thursday, September 3, 2015 at her daughter’s residence.

Born on June 21, 1946 at Justice, she was the daughter of the late Troy and Ethel Justice Harding.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband: Benny Runyon; sisters: Lena Mae Ellis and Annabelle George; brothers: Larry and Jerry Harding; a special nephew: Ben Toler.

Eunice enjoyed spending time with her daughters and her grandchildren. She was a retired Clerk and waitress for the Justonian Restaurant in Justice. She was of the Baptist Faith.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Eunice and to mourn her passing are her daughters: Sandra (Pete) Dean of Slabtown, Kim (Rick) Hall of Whitman, and Terri (Richard) Smith of Baisden; her grandsons: Luke Dean of Tamcliff, Travis Hall of Whitman, and Richie Smith of Baisden; her granddaughter: Gina Stanley of Isaban; her great-granddaughters: Alexis Dean of Baisden, and McKinzee Stanley of Isaban; her great-grandsons: Bentley Dean and Keegan Browning, both of Tamcliff; her sister: Lorraine Toler of Justice; and her brothers: David Harding of Cool Ridge, John Harding and Bill Harding, both of Peterstown. Eunice also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 6 to 9 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert, with the Rev Michael Browning officiating.

Burial will follow in the Justice Memorial Garden Cemetery at Justice, WV.

Eunice will be carried to her final resting place by Mark Toler, Travis Hall, Luke Dean, Jeff Wolford, Nick Dean, Joey Browning and Elliott Ellis.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
