Dale N. Cohenour, 81 of Wharncliffe, departed this life on Saturday, September 23, 2017 to meet his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ from Select Specialty Hospital in Charleston, WV. Born February 2, 1936 in Greenbrier County he was the son of the late Cass Andrew & Saloma Elsie (Bryant) Cohenour. In addition to his parents Dale was preceded in death by his son: Jimmy Cohenour; 5 brothers: Arthur, Frank, Grover, Granville & Kenneth Cohenour; 7 sisters: Dora Hamrick, Mabel Hamrick, Ethel Wade, Betty Ellis, Glenna Hamrick, Nanny Stalney & Rosetta Profitt. Dale was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a devoted Christian and a member of the Sprattsville Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to church and serving the Lord. Dale also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Those left to love and cherish the memory of Dale and to mourn his passing include his loving wife of 62 years Norma Jean (Murphy) Cohenour of Wharncliffe; 2 daughters: Teresa (Scotty) Lovich of Wharncliffe and Sherry (Bill) Cottrill of Oakdale, PA; one special daughter: Belinda Jeffrey of Teays Valley; 3 grandchildren: Courtney (Jason) Compton of Wharncliffe, Whitney Cottrill of Oakdale, PA and Nick (Marlanea) Lovich of Williamson; special granddaughter Kayla Gibson of Logan; great-grandchildren: Tiarra Gibson, Gregory Scott Lowe, Nicholas Lovich, Paisley Gibson, Hayden Gibson, Marissa Friend & Gabe Friend. Friends may gather with the family on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 6-9 pm at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will commence on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 12:00 pm at the Sprattsville Freewill Bapitst Church at Sprattsville, with the Rev. Walter Grimmett & Rev. Jackie Jessie officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Pecks Mill. Dale will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends. He is gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

So sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful person who made anyone who visited his church feel welcome. This is not just your loss, his passing is everyone's loss. He will be missed.
