Charles Ervin Cline, 75 of Baisden, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and joined his loved ones waiting for him in heaven, on Friday, December 21, 2012, from Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born November 13, 1937, at Baisden, he was the son of the late Elmer and May Gibson Cline.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Rodney Cline and one brother.
Charles was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was an auto body repairman and he loved to tinker on cars. He was a master of all trades. He was a former police officer for the town of Gilbert and was a born again Christian. He enjoyed spending time iwth his wonderful family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those remaining to love and cherish the memory of Charles and to mourn his passing include his three sons: Greg Cline of Wayside, Jeffrey Scott Cline of Baisden and Charles Cline, Jr. of Columbus Ohio; his two daughters: Diana (Danny) Robinette of Hurricane and Eloise Cline of Columbus Ohio; his grandchildren: Christopher (Sarah) Cline, who is in the US Air Force at Mountain Home Idaho and Alexia and Logan Robinette of Hurricane; his long time companion, Bertha Cline of Baisden; his two sisters: Edith (Berman) Cline of Baisden and Janet Cline of Hampden; his special friends: Carlos Mounts, Judge-Mike Thornsbury, Mingo County Sheriff Elect-Eugene Crum; Mingo County Prosecuting Attorney-Michael Sparks, Bob Blackburn, Burman Cline, Roger Cline, Gail Cline, Katherine Mounts, Regina Davis, Randy Layne, Ernest Cline, Naomi Cline, Gary Stepp and Greg "Hootie" Smith; and a host of other dear family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Sunday, December 23rd from 6 pm to 9 pm.
Funeral services will commence at 7 pm on Sunday, December 23rd at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Clifford Rawls officiating.
To honor his wishes, he will be cremated.
He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
