Cecil Hatfield, 80 of Delbarton, departed this life on Sunday, February 26th, 2012 at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky.
Born on November 3, 1931 at Gilbert, he was the son of the late Bruce and Rosa Carter Hatfield.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Ballard Hatfield and four sisters: Sadie Hatfield, Lulu Taylor, Ethel Toler and Eunice Thomas.
Cecil was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a retired coal miner, a veteran of the US Army and of the Church of God faith. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Cecil and to mourn his passing include his loving wife, Mary F. Painter Hatfield of Delbarton; his two daughters: Roseanna Sue Hatfield of Delbarton and Cynthia Jo Dalton of Mat-Meadows Virginia; his four sons: James Ray Carter of Charlotte North Carolina, Perry Gene Hatfield of Delbarton, Rodney Dale Carter of Paducah Kentucky and Richard Lynn Hatfield of Man; his six step-children: Nora Parker and Frank Painter both of Parma Ohio, Bob Painter of Elegan Illinois, Faye Hatfield of Landville, Gary Painter of New Orleans Louisiana, and Chris Painter of Lockport Illinois; his six grandchildren; his twelve step-grandchildren; his brother, Lee Hatfield; and a host of other dear family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Wednesday, February 29th from 6 pm to 9 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, March 1st at the Mount Funeral Home Chapel with pastors David Ferguson and Bo Starr officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dye Cemetery at Verner.
Cecil will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends.
He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.

Visitation: Wednesday, February 29th from 6 pm to 9 pm
Funeral: Thursday, March 1st at 1 pm
Place: Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert, WV
