Carl Hatfield

Mr. Carl Hatfield, 64, of Archdale North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 2, 2009.

Mr. Hatfield was born June 29, 1944 in Wyoming County, a son to Wayne and Venie Browning Hatfield. He grew up in Coal Mountain and later moved to North Carolina. He was a veteran of the US Army and was employed with EDM in High Point, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ann Dobbins; his father, Wayne Hatfield; and two brothers, Robert and Rondal Hatfield.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Carl are: his mother, Venie B. Hatfield of Coal Mountain; and two brothers, Kenneth Hatfield of Coal Mountain, and James Hatfield of Oceana.

The family received friends on Friday, February 6th from 6 to 8 pm at the Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, NC.

Funeral services were held at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 7th at the Big Cub Missionary Baptist Church at Coal Mountain with the Rev. Glen Hatfield officiating.

Interment followed in the family cemetery.
