Calos Stafford

Calos Stafford 72 of Hanover, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 from Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division, Charleston, WV.

Born on March 2, 1936 at Wharncliffe, she was the daughter of the late Boley and Elizabeth (Norman) Trent.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by fifteen brothers and sisters.

Calos was a homemaker and a member of the Hanover House of Faith. She was dedicated to her church and loved her church family very much.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Calos are: her loving husband of 53 years, Darrell Stafford of Hanover; her four daughters: Cathy Stafford of Hardy KY, Judy (David) Bragg of LaGrange KY, Crystal (Rick) Maynard and Savannah Stafford both of Hanover; her son, Darrell Michael Stafford of Hanover; her five grandsons: Bryan and Joseph Riffe of Louisville KY, Joshua and Jeremy Jackson of LaGrange KY, and Jessie Walker of Hanover; her granddaughter, Betsy Bailey of Martinsville VA; her three great grandchildren: Braxton and Brooke Bailey of Martinsville VA, and Bryson Riffe of Louisville KY; her two great grandchildren: Isaac Riffe of Louisville KY, and Brady Bailey of Martinsville VA; her sister, Ida Cline of Wharncliffe; and a host of family and friends.

Friends called at the Hanover House of Faith on Friday, March 14th from 7 to 11 pm. Funeral services were held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 15th at the Hanover House of Faith with the Rev. William Deskins and the Rev. Larry Lester officiating. Burial followed in the Godfrey Cemetery at Hanover. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
