Brenda Lee Stafford

September 22, 1948

October 15, 2008

Brenda Lee Stafford, 60, of Douglasville GA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, after fighting a 3 and a half year battle with cancer.

Born on September 22, 1948, at Matewan, she was the loving daughter of Deanie Sipple and the late Jim Sipple.  Living most of her life in this area, she made many friends, who she always cherished.  Brenda moved to Douglasville, Georgia, and became a member of the Powder Springs Church of God in Powder Springs, Georgia.  Some of Brenda’s hobbies included shopping, dinners out, getting manicures and pedicures, watching movies, spending time and attending gatherings with her children, grandchildren, and other family members.  We will remember her best for sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee and a smoke (as she called it) as she waited for the time to start the next load of laundry while watching Jerry Springer.

Preceding her in death was her father, Jim Sipple of Matewan, and her brother, Larry Sipple of Roanoke VA.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Brenda are:   her mother, Deanie Sipple of Varney; her five brothers:  Roger (Betty) Sipple of Dandridge TN, Gary Sipple, Neil (Judy) Sipple, and Blake Sipple all of Matewan, and Freddie (Lora) Sipple of Varney; and sister, Lana Duty of Minnesota; her beloved children:  Denna (John) Perry of Douglasville GA, James “JB” (Deanna) Stafford of Belo, and Wayne (Elaine) Stafford of Delbarton; and her five grandchildren:  Nettie Stafford of Belo, Kayla Perry of Delbarton, Morgan Perry of Douglasville GA, Benjamin Stafford of Delbarton, and Miranda Perry of Douglasville GA; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends called at the House of Prayer Church at Varney on Saturday, October 18th from 6 to 9 pm.  Funeral services were held on Sunday, October 19th at 11:00 am at the House of Prayer Church with Pastor Sammy “Bo” Stafford officiating.  Burial  followed in the Stafford Cemetery at Belo.

Pallbearers were:  Roger, Gary, Neil, Blake, and Freddie Sipple, and Reggie Adkins.  Honorary pallbearers were:  Rush and Paul Perry, Kenny Newsome, Adam Stanley, and Tyrone Wilder.
