Barbara Ann "Midge" Walker

Barbara Ann “Midge” Walker, 64 of Bruno, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to join her many loved ones waiting for her in Heaven, on Wednesday, September 26th, 2012, from Logan Regional Medical Center in Logan.

Born November 3, 1947, at Beham Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Lou Webb Elmore.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Edward Walker and one daughter Carolyn Lou Walker.

Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pathway Church of God. She enjoyed sewing and loved going to church and spending time with her wonderful family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Barbara and to mourn her passing include her three sons: Michael (Shanda) Walker, Pete (Linda) Walker and Jeremy Grimmett; her two daughters: Charlotte Walker and Malinda Lester; her fifteen grandchildren: Josh, Ryan and Shaun Bingham, Marissa Williams, Justin, Coty, Michael and Kaitlyn Walker, Anthony Stafford, Angela, Rachel and Christie Lester, and Jimmy, Samantha and Amy Elkins; her sixteen great-grandchildren: Steven, Damien, Brayden, Bailey, Jayden, Tatam, Alyssa, Ian, Cameron, Nick, Corie, Kyleigh, Dakota, McKayle, Skylar and KaMara; her three brothers: Jessie (Rethia) Elmore, Jimmy Calton and Tom (Jan) Elmore; her seven sisters: Mary (Morris) Holbrook, Anna Bustamante, Kay (David) Bailey, Ella Curtis, Linda Griffith, Pearl Prater and Marie (Everett) Mounce; her special friends: Harrison Williamson, Roy and Charlotte Walker, Gene Lester, Daniel Wingo, Steven Elkins and Jennifer Parker; many nieces, nephews and a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family at the Pathway Church of God at Christian on Friday, September 28th from 6 pm to 11 pm with a special service at 7 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, September 29th at the Pathway Church of God with Rev. Harrison Williamson and Rev. Bill Cantrell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Christian Community Cemetery at Christian.

Barbara will be carried to her final resting place by her grandsons.

She is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
