Born on May 13, 1930, at Big Branch, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Gracie Hatfield West.
Segal Willis Browning, 91 of Verner, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to join his many loved ones waiting for him in heaven, on Wednesday, March 27th, 2013, from Select Specialty Hospital in Charleston.
Born on July 20, 1921 at Verner, he was the son of the late Troy and Chole Browning.
Allen Hinkle, 27 of Wharncliffe, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and joined his many loved ones waiting for him in heaven, on March 26, 2013, from Mate Creek of Matewan.
Born on September 18, 1985, at Man, he was the son of Thurman and Wilma Berry Hinkle.
Allen was preceded in death by one sister, Melissa Hinkle and his grandfathers, Elbert Berry and William “Bill” Hinkle.
Isom Johnson, 74 of Wharncliffe, departed this life on Monday, March 25, 2013, at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley WV.
Born on December 14, 1938, at Pounding Mill Hollow at Wharncliffe, he was the son of the late Preston and Cordia Trent Johnson.
In addition to his parents Isom was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Compton Johnson; one daughter, Jessica Renea Johnson; two sisters: Magelene Osborne and Millie Teems Wolford; and one daughter-in-law, Terrina Johnson.
Carey Cline, 66 of Gilbert, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and joined his loved ones waiting for him in Heaven, on Tuesday, March 26th, 2013 from Williamson ARH in South Williamson Kentucky.
Born on January 31, 1947 at Welch, he was the son of the late Silas and Vennie Cline.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one brother, Teddy Cline.
John B. Vincen of Gilbert died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Marky Cancer Center in Lexington, Kentucky. John was born on July 25, 1933 at Man and was the son of the late Johnny and Laura White Vincen. He was a 1951 graduate of Man High School and attended Marshall University’s Logan Campus.
After high school, John joined the Air Force and served our country during the Korean War as Airman Second Class, working as a highly-skilled airplane mechanic. He received a certificate of commendation for his excellent service.
Eddie Ray Poe, 59 of Bruno WV, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from Logan Regional Medical Center after a battle with cancer.
Born April 19, 1954 at Iaeger, WV, he was the son of Hattie Poe Blankenship and the late Eddie Ray Hall.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Bill and Josephine Poe; his dad: Eddie Ray Hall and one sister Harriett Jean Wiley.
Eddie was a long time carpenter in the Gilbert area and a custodian at Community Health Foundation. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Sandra Jean “Sandy” Bailey, 57, of Accoville, WV departed this life on Thursday, March 14, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer. She departed this life from The Hospice House of Huntington, surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren.
Donald R. Christian, born January 20, 1942, graduated this life and was healed of his earthly sickness on Tuesday, March 12, 2013.
Don was born January 20, 1942, in Verner, WV. He married his wife, Peggy (Collins) Christian who survives him, and made their life together during their 51 years of marriage. A loving husband and devoted partner, Don died at home with Peggy at his side.
Andreau Chapman Morgan, age 25 of Charleston, formerly of Gilbert, went home to his heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Andreau was born January 2, 1988 in Logan, WV.
Andreau was a loving son, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was employed by the Fairfield Inn & Suites, in Charleston, WV. He loved hunting and golfing. He enjoyed a genre of music and played the guitar. He was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Justice, WV. He was compassionate, funny, and had a very loving spirit.
