Billy Buddy Ferguson, 71 of Hampden, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 16, 2017 from Pikeville Medical Center. Born on July 5, 1945 at Gilbert, he was the son of the late Kenner and Mina Belcher Ferguson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters: Flossie Ann and Marietta Ferguson; brothers: Kenny and James Ferguson; daughter: Tina Brown; nephew: Charley Ferguson; niece: Sherrie Browning. Billy loved to hunt and fish, and spend time with his family and friends. He attended Denny May and Diamond Carter’s church.

Elestine Ellis, 65 of Justice, WV went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 9, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital. Born May 28, 1952 in Guyan, WV, she was a daughter to the late Buddy and Marie Toler. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joe Ellis in 2015 and her first husband Calvin Hatfield in 1972.

Geneva Carol Mounts, 74, of Baisden, departed this life on Friday, June 2, 2017, from Logan Regional Medical Center. Born on March 21, 1943, at Wharncliffe, she was a daughter of the late Wayne and Fannie Patrick Browning. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph “Joe” Mounts; one son, Gregory Joe Mounts; one grandson, Gary Joseph Vance; one brother, Clinton Browning; and two sisters: Shelby Stanley and Mildred Edwards. Very devoted to her family, Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Sonny Jude, Sr., 76, of Justice, departed this life on Thursday, June 1, 2017, from CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston. Born April 27, 1941, at Gilbert, he was a son of the late John and Minta Simpson Jude. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved second parents, Junior and Stella Jude; one sister, Beulah Jude; and four brothers: John Jude, Jr., Rex Jude, Jack Jude, and Roy Jude. Sonny enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was also an avid walker.

Born November 19, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Francis & Mamie (Mitchell) Rookard. In addition to her parents Kathleen was also preceded in death by her husband: James Robert Coy; her grandparents and great-grandparents; sister: Betty Rose; brother: Bobby Ray Rookard. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Jerry Douglas Miller, 65 of Gilbert, departed this life on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from his residence. Born June 25, 1951 at Welch, WV he was the son of the late Spurge & Glenda Miller. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a nephew: Alex Surber. Jerry was a devoted husband, caring father, and loyal friend. Growing up in Coal Mountain, WV, he enjoyed playing football and basketball and golf- seemingly playing everything he got his hands on exceptionally well.

Born September 9, 1976 at Williamson, WV he was the son of Gary “Hank” & Sandra Bradford of Wharncliffe. John was preceded in death by his grandparents: Columbus Sr. and Bertha Bradford, Milton & Kizzie Morrison; niece: Layla Browning; uncle: Columbus Bradford Jr. John was a loving son, father, brother, uncle and friend. He loved being outdoors, he enjoyed kayaking and riding motorcycles.

Born January 20, 1947 she was the daughter of the late John William and Alice Lowe. In addition to her parents Nancy was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Charley, Buster, Donald and David Lowe. She is also preceded in death by a host of in-laws, that felt more like sisters and brothers. Nancy loved to garden and complete word search puzzles.
