Arvil Ray Hatfield, 62, of Browning Fork section of Gilbert, departed this life Sunday, November 29, 2015 from Pikeville Medical Center.
Born January 18, 1953 at Logan, he was the son of the late Jesse Sr., and Mary (Hatfield) Hatfield.
In addition to his parents, Arvil is also preceded in death by his sisters: Ethel Berry, Izetta Collins, Minnie Morgan, Kathy Ball, Juanita Carter and Betty Hatfield; his brothers: Jesse Jr., Joe, Moss, Virgil and Elmer Hatfield.
Lena Kincaid, 88 of Hanover, WV departed this life at her home, surrounded by her family and loved ones on Thursday, November 26, 2015.
She was born in Elk Creek, WV, on January 24, 1927, the daughter of the late Julius and Viola West Stafford.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husbands: Francis Marion Dillon and Eugene Kincaid; her son-in-law: Tommie Lee Grimmett; her siblings: Mike, Ross, Elmer, Brack, Will and Arlan Stafford, also, Maxine Lawrence, Mae Carter, Inez White and Charlene Stafford.
Mr. Ransom Ray Williamson, 84, better known as Yank, of Bruno, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Logan Regional Medical Center in Logan.
Born July 11, 1931, at Landville, WV, he was the son of the late Ransom and Jettie (Ferrell) Williamson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Ronald Williamson; sister: Pearl Hall; brothers: Floyd (Jim) Williamson and Harrison Williamson.
Virgil Thomas Kennedy, 81, of Coal Mountain, WV, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Raleigh General Hospital.
He was born January 2, 1934 at Guyan, WV, the son of the late Emory and Bertha Wallace Kennedy.
He married Carolyn Allen Kennedy on July 19, 1952. She preceded him in death on July 15, 1984. Virgil was also preceded in death by his brother Berthel Kennedy, his sisters: Belva Stokes and Corinne Davis; son-in-law: Danny Miller; his niece: Bobbie Staton; his great nephew: Kevin Davis.
Geneva Sammons Cline Shands, 82 of Gilbert, WV, left this world to meet those waiting for her in Heaven on Monday, November 23, 2015 from her daughter’s home in Gilbert, WV.
Geneva was born on February 2, 1933 in Crum, WV, to the late William Pearly and Goldie Sammons.
Bennie Ray Lester, 79, of Baisden, departed this life on Saturday, November 21, 2015, from his residence.
Born August 3, 1936, he was the son of the late Lenzie Glen and Pearl Cline Lester. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Gabriella “Gabby” Lester; and one brother, Rev. Roy Lee Lester.
Bennie was a beloved father and husband. He was also a member of the UMWA. His hobbies included hunting and fishing with his family and grandchildren.
Eddy Ray Riffe, 70, of Justice, departed this life on Thursday, October 29, 2015, from Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY.
Born on July 23, 1945, at Gilbert, he was a son of the late Burton and Minnie Simpson Riffe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Riffe, and one sister, Hazel Howell.
Eddy loved to fish, and he enjoyed gambling. He was of the Pentecostal Faith. He was a loving brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Virginia Alma Ward, 93 of Man, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, and her family waiting there for her on Sunday, October 25, 2015, from the home of Mike & Tonia Ward, Man, WV. Born February 11, 1922 at Mohawk, she was the daughter of the late James and Leety (Roberts) Lee. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years Cassie Ward, her precious son: David Darrell Ward Sr.; 4 brothers: Troy, Homer, Tom & Wayne Lee; 6 sisters: Bertha Gibson, Grace Murphy, Mabel (Ethel) Coe, Bessie McNew, Corby Brown and Gladys Lee.
Rudolph Scott Seefeldt, III, 51, of Huntington, known to his friends as Tiny or Scott, and to his family as Rocky, departed this life on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, just three days short of his 52nd birthday.
He was born on October 23, 1963, in Sarasota, Florida, the son of Rudolph Scott (Bunny) Seefeldt, II, and the late Shirley Rae Hatfield Seefeldt Jude.
After a courageous battle with cancer, Carnetta (Blankenship) Reddish, 56, departed this life peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2015 at her residence at Thompson Station, TN.
Born January 20, 1959 at Man, WV, she was the daughter of Rayburn and Betty Blankenship of Delbarton, WV.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Troy and Rosa Blankenship; her maternal grandparents: Frank and Leona Ellis, Sr.; one niece: Brandi Gail Blankenship.
