Rodney Harold Walls Sr., 78 of Hanover departed this life Sunday, February 19, 2017 from the Cornerstone Hospital of Huntington, WV. Born July 31, 1938 at Leatherwood, he was the son of the late Albert and Lula Toler Walls. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters: Zola New, Georgie Miller, Eunice Walker and Mavis Walls; his brothers: Harlan, Arden, Clinton, Clayton, Dallas, Travis, Thomas and Mayford Walls. Rodney enjoyed bowling, boxing, wrestling, and watching western movies. He loved doing woodwork. He had served in the U.S.

Emma Jean Walker, 80 formerly of Sprattsville, WV departed this life on Friday, February 17, 2017 from her residence in Kimball, WV. Born February 10, 1937 at Gilbert, she was the daughter of the late Morris (Poppy) & Ocie (Mills) Toler. In Addition to her parents Emma Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband: Franklin D. Walker; son: Michael Lee Walker; daughter: Teresa Lynn Walker; 2 sisters: Juanita Sowards, Corrine Perdue; 2 brothers: Raymond (Pete) Toler, Garland Toler. Emma Jean was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.

Estil Eugene “Brother” Vinson, 53 of Delbarton departed this life on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from Williamson Memorial Hospital, Williamson, WV. Born September 2, 1963 at Iaeger, WV he was the son of Estil L. & Delorise (Ooten) Vinson. Estil was preceded in death by his grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins. Estil enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his family. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was of the Church of God faith. Those left to love and cherish the memory of Estil and to mourn his passing include his parents: Estil L.

Ernestine Justice, 61 of Justice departed this life on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Pikeville Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones. Born February 13, 1955 she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Zola Mae Slone. In addition to her parents Ernestine was preceded in death by her loving husband: James Justice; sister: Sarah Blankenship. Ernestine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed playing bingo, shopping, spending time with her family and watching game shows on Television. She was a member of the Tabernacle Church.

Nellie Lester, 68, of Verner, WV, went to her permanent heavenly home on February 12, 2017, in Logan, WV. Nellie had a profound impact on many people that encountered her. She was a leader and a family role model. She was beautiful inside and out. She was characterized by her faith, kindness, generosity, caring, and love for her family.

Robert “Buck” Cooper, 88 of North Springs, WV, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at his residence. Born May 10, 1928 in McDowell County, he was the son of the late John W. and Hallie Bland Cooper. After graduating from Man High School, Buck enlisted in the Air Force and done a tour of duty in Japan in 1948. He was employed with Columbia Gas Transmission for 26 years as a Compressor Station Operator. Buck enjoyed working on and being around automobiles, which led to working at Dallas’s Esso Gas Station and Bob Livingood’s car lot.

Born October 3, 1948 at Gilbert, he was the son of the late Troy and Lillian (Elkins) Hatfield. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters: Janice Carter and Opal Dodgins; his brothers: Rayburn and Ross Hatfield. He enjoyed fishing and working on older cars, and spending time with his family and friends.

She was the daughter of the late William and Marie Cole Ball. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Stafford, Jr.; two great-grandchildren: Emilee Walker and Madelyn Grace; six sisters and five brothers. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Born January 29, 1943 at Man, he was the son of the late Harry and Lydia Simpkins Collins. In addition to his parents Doug was also preceded in death by his wife: Izetta Collins; daughter: Pamela Nagle; sisters: Jackie and Mae Collins; brothers: Raymond, Junior, Leeulin and Billy Collins. Doug loved to ride his RZR, and spend time with his family and friends.
